WRITTEN BY: JENNIFER STROUT, Founder of MotivateU In today's fast-paced world, people often struggle to find the time and energy to dedicate to important aspects of their lives, including health and wellness. As such fitness is often viewed as a luxury that can only be afforded by those who have plenty of time to spare. However, this mindset couldn't be further from the truth. Just because someone has a busy schedule or needs to travel frequently for work, it doesn't mean that they can't prioritize their physical health. Let's take the example of a working mom who has to juggle her professional career along with her responsibilities to her family. Between managing all her commitments, she often finds herself struggling to find time to hit the gym. However, just because she can't make it to a physical gym, it doesn't mean that she can't achieve her fitness goals. The same holds true for individuals who have to travel frequently for work. With long flights, hotel stays, and tight schedules, it can be challenging to maintain a regular workout routine. However, there are several ways to get creative and stay fit even when you're on the go. Another major barrier to working out is weather conditions. During winters, extreme cold and snow can make it difficult for people to venture out to the gym. Similarly, during a pandemic or flu season, being exposed to public spaces may not be the safest option. However, these hindrances shouldn't stop people from pursuing their fitness goals. The fitness industry needs to recognize that people have different schedules, lifestyles, and limitations. It's not enough to assume that everyone can make it to a gym whenever they want to. Instead, fitness centers should explore new and innovative ways to cater to people's needs. Fitness is a crucial aspect of our lives, and everyone deserves access to it regardless of their circumstances. Whether you're a working mom, a frequent traveler, or someone who's constrained by weather conditions or health concerns, there are still several ways to prioritize your physical health. With a little creativity and an open mind, you can find the right fitness plan that works for you. Check out MotivateU and see what our community and technology has to offer.
